I started The Thinking Mom as a place to share information. The concept behind the name is that if we really think about the things we do – what we put on our bodies, in our bodies, in the environment – we will make better choices & have a healthier future.
I believe in organic food, natural childbirth, breastfeeding, holistic medicine, & choosing to live as naturally as possible in all areas – cleaning products, cosmetics, drinking water, cloth diapers, etc.
My goal is not for you to agree with everything that I say, but to encourage you to think for yourself. Do research, question things, be curious; knowledge is power.
Thinking about the way an average American lives (& how I used to live) in contrast with living naturally can feel a little overwhelming, but that’s not what I’m trying to do. Just commit to keep working towards positive change, and don’t worry about being perfect overnight. (I’m not perfect either, just committed to continually learning & growing.)
I plan to share facts (I’ll do my best to remember to source them), advice, healthy recipes, experiences, and probably other random things that come up in my family’s life.
Thank you for visiting my blog! If you enjoy it, feel free to pass it on 🙂
